If you look at the Google Pixel 4 and OnePlus 7T, you will see that both are the great handsets. But a little comparison between the two may help you decide which smartphone you really want to pick. We will compare both these handsets from a number of perspectives here.
Google Pixel 4 looks great with its new design which is aesthetically good but it seems Google has paid more attention to the functional perspective of its design. There is a matte finish on the backside (expect for the black variant which is still glossy). The phone’s circumference is covered with an aluminum frame on which a rubberized black coating applied. There is no way this phone is going to slip out of your hand. There two cameras on the backside of this phone. The camera bump is located on the top left side.
At the front side, there is no camera notch in the screen of Pixel 4. Instead, there is a bezel that houses the front camera and a number of other sensors.
The OnePlus 7T comes with thinner bezels and a triple-camera setup in the backside. The camera module is located in the top center portion and it’s a round module. The backside of the phone is nicely finished.
Both Google Pixel 4 and OnePlus 7T come with flat displays and both are FHD+. The aspect ratio used by Google Pixel 4 is 19:9, while OnePlus 7T’s screen aspect ratio is 20:9.
The screen size of Pixel 4 is 5.7-inch and it comes with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It’s an OLED panel. On the other hand, OnePlus 7T has comes with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Both of the screens have a refresh rate of 90Hz but the one in Pixel 4 has some limitations. On the other hand, the 90Hz refresh rate used by OnePlus 7T is compatible to most of the apps the phone runs. You can call OnePlus 7T the winner in this display comparison.
Both of the phones perform really well when it comes to launching and running apps. Hardware and software in both of the handsets are compatible to each other, meaning that they can bring up the best of both phones. However, OnePlus 7T looks more powerful on paper due to stronger specs. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and its RAM is also bigger than that of the Pixel 4.
Practically, both of the devices perform equally well. From everyday normal use to mobile gaming, you are not going to face any issue in launching and running apps on both of the handsets.
The matter of fact is that Pixel 4 fails to keep up in a competition of battery performance with all of the major flagships. You will not be able to get more than 3 hours of screen-on time with this phone. Thus, the intense phone use for a longer time is out of the question.
While OnePlus 7T is not the best phone from the perspective of battery performance, it is many times better than the Pixel 4. OnePlus 7T is capable of giving you more than 6 hours of screen-on time without any issue. Apps that use screen’s 90Hz refresh rate can be run for a longer period of time on OnePlus 7T. It is certainly not possible to achieve the same with Pixel 4.
Both, Google Pixel 4 and OnePlus 7T, have great cameras. However, Pixel 4 is more capable in this department. If you rate this phone from the perspective of camera performance, you will find it in the top potion of the list.
OnePlus 7T, on the other hand, comes with a vast improvement in camera pack as compared to its predecessors but lags behind Pixel 4.
While Pixel 4’s cameras perform exceptionally well during daylight, the low light performance of this phone is also up to the mark. The special feature it uses is known as Night Sight. OnePlus 7T is also a tough competitor in this regard. The low light performance of its cameras is amazing but it is not as good as Night Sight.
